Central Park East Middle School in Harlem, selected Jahmoon to rebuild it's website, which was on Blogger. The principal was the manager of the Blogger account and was the sole contributor. All of his currently published content were re-posted onto the new site. With our help in rebuilding the website, multiple users can make updates.
IS 339 chose to upgrade it's website from an archaic type built using Google Sites formula approach. While the site had some meaningful content, it lack aesthetic appeal. The upgrade provided a more professional look and feel to the website, with information in a more organized way. In addition, it allows multiple users to make updates to the site rather than relying on just one person.
For example, the parent coordinator regularly makes updates targeted to parent about what's going on at the school.
PS 137 John L Bernstein is the first school to sign up with Jahmoon. It wanted a web presence for a small elementary school, serving students from grades Pre-kindergarten to 5th Grade. It features ability for teachers to make posting about their classes only, while administrators can create, edit and publish to any part of the website. A calender shows color coded categories of events suitable for parents, students, school activities, etc.
Teachers like the ability to add their monthly newsletters and the administrators want to post the many things that are happening at the school.
